Harpur's Ferry's Highest Honor
Mary Faughnan was the Director of the University Health Services who willingly served Harpur’s Ferry with true dedication. She was a director of The Corporation, an advisor, and most importantly a friend. Mary died in the summer of 1985 from cancer. This award is to honor both her memory and the hard work of a volunteer of our organization.
In memory of Mary Faughnan, this is the highest award for members or associates who embody the values and commitment demonstrated by Mary Faughnan during her time as a member, advisor, and friend of Harpur’s Ferry. Several criteria that may be used are: time commitment, monetary donations, and attitude towards service, dedication, and willingness to give time as a first priority, medical skills, and leadership qualities.
