Harpur’s Ferry SVAS and Emergency Medical Technicians from SUNY Geneseo, University at Albany, and Syracuse University conducted a mock disaster drill that simulated a mass casualty incident (MCI) on the 2nd floor of the Fine Arts Building of Binghamton University on August 17, 2022. A number of students played the part of victims while the EMTs triaged, treated, and transported the patients from the scene.

On August 17, 2022, a bomb was deployed in the Binghamton University Fine Arts building. HFSVAS organized and participated in the agency’s first-ever inter-agency mass casualty incident drill alongside the Binghamton University Office of Emergency Management and other collegiate agencies.
